Joint ventures are not new to developers, often through need rather than innovation.

This can spread risks, enables investors to fund deals in advance, and combines forces with operators on Build to Rent schemes or with infrastructure groups to access land opportunities.

As GRID Properties is both a developer and an investor (through our parent company, Gulf Islamic Investments), joint ventures present an opportunity for us to be different, bringing pioneering associations and new collaboration ideas to London and other global cities.

In March this year, we launched the ELIE SAAB Residences at Hyde Park, our first residential scheme in the UK.

With interior designs reflecting a lifestyle curated by Elie Saab himself, the apartments offered something truly different in London.

The market agreed – all were sold and we saw some really good traction.

Boosted by this success story, GRID has just announced another pioneering collaboration, focussed this time on the amenity and services of most interest and demand from discerning buyers of luxury residential properties across London.

Our newest development will be based in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

The elite homes within “The Lucan, Autograph Collection Residences” bear the luxury brand name of the world’s leading hotel company Marriott International, which will manage the property on GRID’s behalf.

Luxury buyers do not have to choose between home comforts or the convenience of a high-class hotel’s services.

They can own a highly-specialised apartment in iconic, thriving Chelsea, with the best of culture, fashion, food, sport and entertainment on their doorstep, while also enjoying life’s luxuries brought to them by Marriott’s in-house Autograph management team.

This collaboration – where world-class hotel services are offered through a hotel-managed property – is a new first for the UK.

The Lucan guarantees a superlative experience through Marriott’s extensive guest satisfaction track record.

We at GRID will continue to seek pioneering collaborations and global innovation in our developments.

We present buyers and our clients with something genuinely different, offering them a positive statement with a sound investment, whilst GRID strengthens its position in the luxury property market.

Watch this space for our next development.
