A brand-new week designed to support, encourage and educate buyers about homeownership throughout England has been announced.

National Home Buying Week is set to launch this March and will help potential buyers find out about the help available to them when getting onto the property ladder.

National Home Buying Week, which is hosted by First Time Buyer Magazine, will bring together home movers across the country with a range of leading property experts to simplify the complicated process of buying a home, share advice, challenge misconceptions, and raise awareness of how homeownership is possible in 2021.

Eager homebuyers can join informative virtual events between 22nd – 27th March, including live webinars with Q&As on key topics including Help to Buy, shared ownership, and mortgages.

There will also be full-length informative seminars that will cover a range of essential topics from saving for a deposit to credit scores.

Additional content includes easy to understand animations explaining government schemes, a hosted walkthrough video and Q+A with vlogger Jade Vanriel, and a feature masterclass on viewing a property hosted by A Place in the Sun presenter Jonnie Irwin.

Lynda Clark, CEO of First Time Buyer, says:

“It is a very exciting time to be launching a week dedicated to homeownership, especially as the property market continues to thrive.”

“Homeownership has never been so important, and this week shines a spotlight on how any challenge can be overcome with the right support.”

“As more house hunters turn to digital resources to learn about purchasing a home, our goal is to provide all of the information that they need, and set them on the path to homeownership.”

Markus Kendall-Young, Director of Sales and Marketing for Catalyst, comments:

“We are very proud to be the headline sponsor for the inaugural National Home Buying Week with First Time Buyer Magazine.”

“There couldn’t be a more pertinent time to launch an event like this, helping to inspire the next generation of homeowners to get on to the property ladder, at a time when our homes have never been more important.”

“Along with hosting events designed to de-mystify the buying process, we can’t wait to show off our high quality developments in London and the Home Counties, many available through Help to Buy and Shared Ownership, that could offer the perfect home for a first-time buyer.”

A range of property industry experts including headline sponsor Catalyst and supporting sponsor SO Resi will be on hand to provide informal and easy to digest guidance on how to get a foot onto the property ladder.

Homebuyers will be invited to join live Q&A sessions to ask any question related to homebuying, or watch pre-recorded seminars on key topics at their own pace.

Lynda Clark adds:

“National Home Buying Week is set to unlock the door to homeownership this year.”

“All of the information is completely accessible in one place for anyone who wants to find out about the options available, whether it’s a burning question that they just can’t find out the answer to, or if they need more comprehensive support in any aspect of homeownership.”

“Our property experts are raring to go and we’re looking forward to a hugely successful week.”
