Strategic property consultancy Cluttons have been named as a supplier on Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) Estate Management Services (EMS) framework for the first time.

The highly sought out four-year appointment, which means Cluttons can take a share in an estimated £500m worth of contracts, comes as the company’s growth in public sector advice reaches new heights.

Cluttons were appointed for its range of services across the property lifecycle and in particular its strong professional, management and strategic consultancy expertise together with its market leading quality of work.

The win follows Cluttons’ successful and growing relationship with a number of Central and Local Government clients and will act as a catalyst to further strengthen the company’s platform of public sector services across the property lifecycle.

Uniquely, these services also include specialist infrastructure knowledge on electric vehicles, digital connectivity, bespoke data management and flood defence advice with experts based in London, Bristol, Oxford and its recently opened northern hub in Manchester.

Crown Commercial Service (CCS) supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services.

In 2020/21 CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits equal to £2.04bn – supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.

The five CCS lots that Cluttons have been appointed to are:

Estate Property Management, Agency & Lease Management, Surveying & Strategic Advice, Valuation & Compulsory Purchase Orders and Business Rating Services.

Mark Sambridge, head of Corporate Real Estate and Data Consultancy within Cluttons’ management division, said:

“This framework win come as a result of several years of hard work; building up a client base and creating a position for Cluttons as an alternative provider of Real Estate services to the Public Sector.”

“As a forward thinking company we want to be involved in developing innovative property solutions around such areas as hybrid working, ESG and levelling up as they gather speed post-pandemic.”

“Public sector organisations are leading the way in thinking around how buildings are used, managed and occupied and this framework enables us to join CCS in playing a pivotal role supporting the public sector in their delivery of groundbreaking initiatives.”

James Gray, managing partner of Cluttons, said:

“We have worked hard in the last few years to build a reinvigorated and more national business that focusses on areas of the property market where we can really offer value and unique expertise to our clients.”

“The public sector is key for the future of our business and this appointment provides a boost to the hard work of a number of teams who work together seamlessly to offer clients so much more than traditional silo’d real estate advice.”
